We have a very open policy for all our classes. Potential students are strongly encouraged to come to our studio anytime and sit and watch any or all of our classes. Come check out how we teach our classes, the environment, the Instructors' style, parking availability, access way, etc. There are no trial classes or free classes, unless offered during our Studio Parties or Socials.

But if you like what you see, don't hesitate to immediately pay for classes ahead of time to secure a place for yourself!

Because of our 10 years in the Malaysian dance area, our more experienced Instructors tend to give more than the hour of class you pay for. Because nothing's more exciting to them than a student who is passionate and eager to learn. So, don't be shy to ask your Instructor questions related to the dance they are teaching you. But always remember to be respectful, because the Instructors are sharing their life experiences and skill, which probably took them a lot of time, blood, and sweat to learn, and usually the hard way.

In the end, to protect the business side and the income of the Instructors in our studios, we were recommended by friends and lawyers (many of whom were already students) to be very clear about our Terms & Conditions, and make it easy to access. So, please find it below.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Terms & Conditions for classes, practices, events, and services rendered at Havana Estudio:

1. Receipts issued by Shamsul Sopiee Productions (“SSP”) as agent for and on behalf of Havana Estudio (“HE”). Hereafter, “The Studio” shall refer to SSP, HE, and all agents on behalf of SSP or HE.

2. Class fees at The Studio are non-refundable, non-transferable, and will expire at the end of the duration of the Series.

3. The Studio has monthly intakes in the Salsa program, and my place in class will be confirmed with a completed & signed registration form and RM200 in cash paid to The Studio before the start of Salsa Beginner 1 Class 1 (hereafter called “Class1”).

4. After Class1 starts, enrollment is closed and even if I have paid up, I will not be allowed to join that class in that intake. If allowed by the Instructor(s), remaining class fees may be transferred to the next available intake, and when I have paid a RM50 admin charge – per person per month of transfer – my place will be confirmed in that intake. The amount of class fees transferred shall be determined at the discretion of the Instructor(s).

5. I can only attend the day and time of class that I am registered for. If I want to attend a Mirror Class, I need to first get permission from the class Instructor.

6. If I am late for class, I may not be allowed to join the class if it is deemed disruptive by the Instructor(s). If I miss class(es) and cannot keep up, I may be asked to join another intake, on a different day, time, and start date.

7. Salsa includes solo and partner dancing, and because I am learning how to social dance, I will gladly change partners when asked by the Instructor(s).

8. For health and/or safety, proper dance shoes are strongly recommended during dance classes – no sneakers, slippers, slip-ons, socks, or bare feet. I may not be allowed to take class(es) if I do not have the proper footwear or attire.

9. The Studio reserves the right to refuse admission to any person, paid or otherwise.

10. Infants, children, and teenagers are never to be left unattended and are under the full care of the adult(s) who bring them.

11. I agree to allow The Studio to search me or person(s) accompanying me – including possessions – for any prohibited items including but not limited to weapons, controlled, dangerous, and illegal substances or multimedia recording or capturing devices. I also agree that smoking is strictly prohibited at all times.

12. My email address(es) and mobile number(s) will be used by The Studio for class announcements or events.

13. Contributions collected are voluntary. When issued, tickets are for the immediate date & time printed on the event ticket or posted advertisements. Under no circumstances will negotiation for prices of class fees, contributions collected, or tickets issued, be entertained.

14. No photography, audio, video, or multimedia recording or capturing is permitted under any circumstances. Mobile phones and all multimedia recording or archiving devices must be turned off. I agree not use any material learned from, seen danced by, or lectured by, or in a discussion with any Instructor or dancer associated with The Studio, without explicit permission in writing by a Director of The Studio. However, I agree to allow The Studio to capture and use the image, video, voice, sound, likeness, or samples of me or person(s) accompanying me in any multimedia format.

15. I hereby release The Studio of any liability associated with any death, personal injury, harm, or distress (physical, mental, or emotional), whether expressed or implied, or any loss or damage however caused, including but not limited to any substitution of artistes, dancers, or Instructors, any variation, postponement, cancellation, interruption, or stoppage of advertised programme, class, practice, show, event, or meeting including times, enrollment capacity, material, or items is the itinerary due to adverse weather, unforeseen or dangerous situations, or when deemed necessary.

16. While the above-mentioned terms & conditions may change without notice, I understand that all effort will be made to make it known to me on a best endeavor basis. If there are inconsistencies or omissions, I agree that the policy at the entrance of the class, practice area, or event shall take precedence.

17. I am fully aware that upon request, a copy of these terms & conditions will be made available to me.

As a student, payor of class fees, or voluntary contributor to classes, practies, shows, meetings, and events by The Studio, I am fully made aware of, fully understand, and full agree to the above-mentioned terms & conditions for any class, practice, or event organized by or associated with The Studio at The Studio premises or at The Studio event premises.
